What is a vCard QR code?

A vCard QR code stores contact details in a structured format. Compatible scanner and contacts apps can offer to add that information to an address book. This generator uses vCard 4.0.

Which fields are required?

A first or last name is required. Company, international phone number, email, and website are optional.

Will this automatically save a contact?

Usually the scanner opens a contact preview and asks the recipient to confirm. The exact behavior depends on their phone and app.

Can I update the contact after printing?

The downloaded code contains a fixed copy of the details. Generate and print a new code when the encoded details change.

Are PNG and SVG downloads free?

Yes. Both formats are available without an account or a watermark. PNG has a fixed pixel size; SVG can scale cleanly for print layouts.

Can I add my own logo?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 5 MB. The logo stays on your device and is embedded in both PNG and SVG downloads. We use high error correction, limit the logo size, and preserve key QR patterns. Downloads become available only after the finished image decodes to your original content.

Does the scan check guarantee every phone will work?

The check verifies the generated image with a local QR decoder. Camera quality, printing, lighting, and scanner apps still affect real-world results. Test the downloaded code on your phone and at its intended print size before sharing.
