A few simple ground rules.

Using the generator
The service is free and creates static QR codes from the information you supply. You are responsible for the content and for your right to share it.
Check before you share
Test every code on the devices and at the printed size you plan to use. Scanning depends on contrast, size, lighting, content, and the recipient’s app. Successful generation is not a guarantee that every device will recognize every payload.
Static codes
Downloaded images contain a fixed payload. They cannot be edited through this site. A code has no built-in expiry imposed by Dotlane, but a destination URL or network can change or stop working.
Availability
The site is offered as available, without guarantees of uninterrupted service. Features and terms may change as the service develops.
Open source
Third-party software remains subject to its own licenses. See the open-source credits in the footer for the included notices.
