Do static QR codes expire? What can change.
What stays fixed, what can change, and what “no expiry” means.
The content is inside the code
A static QR code directly encodes text such as a URL, network details, or contact information. Dotlane does not create a hosted redirect or an account-based scan allowance.
The code can stay; the destination can change
A static code has no built-in timer. A website it points to may still move, disappear, require payment, or change its content. Use a stable address that you control when printing long-lived materials.
Edits need a new code
Changing the encoded URL, Wi-Fi password, or contact details means generating a new image. Keeping a saved image does not give you a way to edit what is already printed.
No scan analytics are added
This generator does not add tracking links or scan counts. A website you link to, or a scanner app someone uses, may still collect its own information.
